The former Minneapolis police officer charged with murder in the death of George Floyd posted bail and was released from state prison after being held for about four months. Court documents show, Derek Chauvin posted $1 million bond and was released. Chauvin is charged with second-degree murder, third-degree murder and manslaughter. The release of Chauvin raised questions about how the bail system works and why we may never know who posted the bail in this case.
